  • Question: In what Oscar® winning movie did just one sequence take 9 months to film? – and while you are thinking...

  • Answer: The 11 Oscar® winning 1958 Ben-Hur which starred among many others, Charlton Heston, contains the most difficult to produce sequence in film history. The famous chariot race took 9 months to complete: 6 months to train the horses, and 3 months to film. Congratulations to William Wyler and stunt-coordinator Yakima Canutt for doing such a fabulous job as not one animal was ever injured.
